The Holybro Digital Airspeed Sensor MS5525DSO boasts an exceptionally low offset and high resolution, making it a standout choice for precision measurements. This sensor is compatible with all Holybro Autopilot Flight Controller Boards, supporting both Ardupilot and PX4 firmware.
Advanced Digital Pressure Sensor for High-Volume OEM Applications
The MS5525DSO represents a new generation of Digital Small Outline pressure sensors, designed for high-volume OEM applications with SPI and I2C bus interfaces. The sensor module combines a high-precision pressure sensor with an ultra-low power 24-bit ADC, featuring internal factory calibrated coefficients.
This setup provides accurate 24-bit digital pressure and temperature readings. The MS5525DSO offers various operational modes, enabling users to balance conversion speed and power consumption according to their needs. Its straightforward communication protocol ensures easy integration with virtually any microcontroller, without the necessity of programming internal registers.
Built on advanced MEMS technology, the Digital Airspeed Sensor MS5525DSO benefits from TE’s extensive experience in mass-producing pressure modules over the past decade. The robust engineered thermoplastic transducer is available in both single and dual port configurations, capable of measuring absolute, gauge, compound, and differential pressures ranging from 1 to 30 psi. If you use your favorite ground station (MissionPlanner, QGroundControl, etc.) to test whether or not the sensor is functioning correctly, you should be able to see the sensor response. You should be able to see the sensor measured values change if you blow mildly from a distance into the tube (never blow directly into the tube as you will tear the diaphragm — these kinds of sensors have a very sensitive types of diaphragms) or cover it with your finger.
