Description
Overview
The CUAV SKYE 2 Heated Airspeed Sensor for Pixhawk is a cutting-edge device designed to enhance UAV performance, particularly in challenging environments. This sensor features a highly integrated design that includes intelligent de-icing and drainage capabilities. Its new generation linear structure, combined with M4C intelligent precise heating, ensures shock resistance, low-temperature drift, and high precision.
Intelligent Temperature Compensation, Cold-Proof and De-Icing
The SKYE 2 supports a 68V voltage input and is equipped with a high-power 35W probe temperature compensation system. This system intelligently manages probe heating, de-icing, and drainage based on ambient temperature and humidity, preventing data errors caused by ice or blockage. This significantly improves UAV operation reliability in cold environments.
Renewed and Upgraded Design with Full Waterproofing
The sensor’s appearance features a new linear structure design that reduces wind resistance and improves structural integrity. With IP54 protection, it is fully waterproof, and its built-in drainage holes automatically remove excess rainwater during flight, providing comprehensive rain splash protection.
Highly Integrated, Multifunctional System
The SKYE 2 uses innovative technology to integrate multiple components, including the pitot tube, airspeed sensor, temperature and humidity sensor, ARM M4 processor, and dual temperature compensation system, into one compact unit. This multifunctional integration ensures precise and reliable performance.
M4C Intelligent Heating Strategy
The sensor employs CUAV’s M4C intelligent heating strategy, which allows for precise heating, ice melting, and water drainage. This enables UAVs to operate efficiently in low-temperature environments.
New Shock Resistance and Low-Temperature Drift Technology
The built-in differential pressure sensor is designed for low-temperature drift and high vibration resistance, providing fast response and minimal data error. This ensures accurate airspeed data, crucial for the safe operation of oil-powered UAVs in various environments.
Compatibility with Multiple Platforms
The SKYE 2 adopts the DroneCAN communication protocol, making it compatible with open-source platforms such as ArduPilot and PX4. It supports a wide range of unmanned system applications, offering versatility for various UAV operations.
