DroneCAN H-RTK F9P Helical (Based on NXP S32K1) Overview

The DroneCAN H-RTK F9P NXP S32K1ย is the latest differential high-precision RTK GNSS positioning system from Holybro. It has adopted the DroneCAN protocol for communication. It provides multi-band RTK with fast convergence times and reliable performance, concurrent reception of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou, and a fast update rate for highly dynamic and high volume applications with centimeter-level accuracy.ย 

Enhanced Navigation and Robust Connectivity with DroneCANย Protocol

Leveraging the DroneCAN Protocol, the system offers an 8Hz navigation update rate, enhanced upgradeability, and strong noise immunity. It provides real-time features and greater robustness compared to UART, thanks to its superior resistance to electromagnetic interference. Additionally, it frees up the flight controller‘s serial ports, allowing multiple CAN devices to be connected to a single CAN bus using a hub, simplifying device integration.

High-Performance Integration with Pixhawk Compatibility

The DroneCAN H-RTK F9P GPS integrates a u-blox ZED-F9P module, a BMM150 compass, and a tri-color LED indicator, powered by the NXP S32K14 processor running with 1MB Flash and 128 KB RAM. It supports firmware upgrades through the DroneCAN GUI Tool and is fully compatible with the open-source Pixhawk flight controllers.

Note: This version does not support Dual GPS or GPS heading at this moment. It will be supported as soon as possible.
