DroneCAN H-RTK F9P Rover Overview

The DroneCAN H-RTK F9P Rover is the latest differential high-precision RTK GNSS positioning system from Holybro. It has adopted the DroneCAN protocol for communication. It provides multi-band RTK with fast convergence times and reliable performance, concurrent reception of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou, and a fast update rate for highly dynamic and high volume applications with centimeter-level accuracy.

Enhanced Navigation and Robust Connectivity with DroneCAN Protocol

Leveraging the DroneCAN Protocol, the system offers an 8Hz navigation update rate, enhanced upgradeability, and strong noise immunity. It provides real-time features and greater robustness compared to UART, thanks to its superior resistance to electromagnetic interference. Additionally, it frees up the flight controller‘s serial ports, allowing multiple CAN devices to be connected to a single CAN bus using a hub, simplifying device integration.

High-Performance Integration with Pixhawk Compatibility

The DroneCAN-GPS integrates a u-blox ZED-F9P module, a BMM150 compass, and a tri-color LED indicator, powered by the STM32G4 processor running at 170 MHz with 512 KB of Flash memory and 96KByte of RAM. It supports firmware upgrades through the DroneCAN GUI Tool and is fully compatible with the open-source Pixhawk flight controllers.

DroneCAN F9P Rover

The Rover model has a flatter profile and stronger water resistance. It uses a dual band patch antenna and comes with an integrated cable to connect to the CAN bus. It excels in spaces where there are few obstructions.
